Uninstalling the Gigaset USB Stick 54
You may have to uninstall the Gigaset USB Stick 54 if:
u
An error occurred during installation.
u
The Gigaset USB Stick 54 is not working properly and the problem cannot be rectified
(see Section "Troubleshooting" on page 42).
u
You have acquired a newer version of the Gigaset USB Stick 54 and the operating
instructions for the new device recommend uninstalling the older version.
u
You no longer need the Gigaset USB Stick 54 and want to free up space on your hard
drive and in working memory.
Uninstalling involves the following steps:
1. First uninstall the software for the Gigaset USB Stick 54.
2. Then uninstall the hardware.
3. Complete the uninstall process.
Uninstalling the software
To uninstall the software for the Gigaset USB Stick 54 from your PC:

Close all running programs.
ì
Select
Start

Programs
–
Gigaset USB Stick 54
–
Gigaset USB Stick 54 Uninstall
.
ì
Confirm the security prompt for the uninstall process with
OK
.
The software and all the drivers will now be removed from your PC.
Completing the uninstall
ì
Remove the Gigaset USB Stick 54 from the USB socket of your PC.
ì
Follow the remaining instructions and then restart your PC.
Note:
Do not restart your PC until you have also removed the hardware.
If you restart the PC before removing the Gigaset USB Stick 54, Windows will automat-
ically start its hardware recognition program. If this happens, close automatic hard-
ware recognition by clicking on
Cancel
.
