2.6 Using the IEEE 1394 Port
With the built-in IEEE 1394 port, you can connect your IEEE 1394-
compatible peripherals for video transmission or data backup. The
Windows operating system will automatically recognize the device
and install appropriate driver(s) for it. Yet it is still recommended
to install the drivers that came with your peripherals. For more
information, please refer to your hardware manuals.

2.7 PCI Express card/Newcard
The PCI Express card (or Newcard) slot can be used as an
interface between your computer and a variety of communication
devices, such as network adapters, fax/modems or external
storage devices.

Inserting a Card

1. Insert the card with label side up, make sure that the metal
connector is inserted into the card slot.
2. Insert the card into the slot. You will feel some resistance as the
card reaches to the end.
3. Your PCI Express cards require drivers, or programs that
allow the operating system to use the device. Your Windows
operating system should already contain the driver for your
device, if not, you will be prompted to install the driver.

Removing a Card

1. Press the eject button on the card slot to release the eject
button, then press the eject button again to release the card.
