Using Your Blender
1. Make sure the main unit is turned to the ‘Off’ position (0).
2. Place the Blender Jug onto the main unit and lock into
position as indicated. (Fig 1)
3. Place your ingredients into the Blender Jug, ensuring you
do not exceed the maximum level indicator (1500ml). (Fig 2)
4. Place the lid and turn clockwise to lock into position.
5. Plug the appliance into the mains socket and select the
required speed setting. (Fig 3)
6. If you need to redistribute the ingredients in the Blender
Jug, turn the control dial to the ‘Off’ position (0) and switch
off at the mains socket. Unlock the lid and using a plastic
spatula, push the ingredients down the jug or to stir, as
required. Never use metal utensils as this will damage the
jug / blades. Replace the lid and lock into position, switch
on at the mains and continue blending.
7. Whilst blending you can add liquid ingredients (eg: oil for
the preparation of mayonnaise) through the measuring cup
opening in the lid. Simply twist the measuring cup to
remove it from the lid and gently pour your ingredients into
the jug. Replace the measuring cup and twist to lock back
into position. This operation can be used whilst the motor is
running. (Fig 4)
Note: Always add liquid ingredients first, followed by solid or dry ingredients.
This will ensure a more consistent blend.
Note: DO NOT blend hot liquids; always allow to cool to room temperature before
blending.
Note: DO NOT blend frozen ingredients that have formed a solid mass. Allow to
thaw slightly and break up into smaller pieces before blending.
Note: DO NOT use the blender to mash potatoes or mix heavy dough.
Note: DO NOT blend ice cubes alone, this will damage the blades.
