Press the "F/V" [1]
button.
Take calm and
relaxed breaths as
instructed until even
breathing is
achieved.
As instructed from
normal breathing,
slowly exhale
completely.
The "Plateau" indicator on the right side of the screen is used
to control deep expiration. According to ATS / ERS guidelines,
the end-expiratory plateau is reached when the volume
change is less than 25 ml/s. If the pointer reaches the green
area, the patient has fulfilled the plateau criterion according to
ATS / ERS.
