INSTALLATION EXCAVATOR - MODE (INSIDE THE TRENCH)
· Position the excavator and dig until you reach the required depth.
· The digger arm should be perpendicular with the bucket teeth when touching the excavation depth
required. Ensure the receiver is perpendicular to the bucket teeth (as illustrated).
· Position the rotating laser at a suitable height and power-on.
· Connect the receiver to the side of the excavator arm.
Two options:
a) Magnet connection directly to the arm.
b) Magnet connection of magnetic support (available optionally, ref. 290810) for use with
FMR 800-M/C with clamp connection.
Advantage: allows the receiver to be easily aligned to the laser plane.
· Attach the magnetic support or the receiver to the arm so that it points to the bucket teeth.
(If the bucket is set to the ground with the bottom of the bucket and not with the teeth,
point the magnetic support/receiver to the point where the bucket touches the ground).
· Move the receiver up/down until the green LEDs are flashing (on-level).
· Turn the display of the receiver into the direction of the drivers cabin.
· Select the required accuracy (height indication and bucket tilt).
· Start the excavation. The excavation depth and vertical position is correct if the
receivers green LED‘s are permanently illuminated.
· It is advisable to make regular checks to maintain correct height.
