Opening / closing the door
To open the door, press the
OPEN CHAMBER #
button
on the workstation control panel. If necessary, wait for
fumes to clear before opening the fume hood doors.
To close and lock the door, hold the door in the closed
position and press and hold the
CLOSE
button until a beep
sounds to indicate the door is locked.
Note:
The door cannot be opened while the rotor is
turning or the evaporation chamber is below atmospheric
pressure.
To avoid the doors colliding, close the evaporator doors
before closing the fume hood doors.
Warning:
Risk of hand entrapment between
the left-hand evaporator and the side of the
fume cupboard. Take care when opening the
evaporator door.
Stand-by mode
To enter
stand-by mode
when the system is idle (powered up but not evaporating), press
the evaporator
STOP
button. The LCD screen continues to operate with reduced brightness;
all other systems power down. Each evaporator can be placed in stand-by mode
independently.
To restart the system, press the
START
button.
Note:
The system may continue to purge the vacuum pump for a preset time after entering
stand-by mode. The
Purge Time
remaining is indicated on the screen; do not power the
system down until the pump purge cycle has completed.
