Important Safety Instructions 

 
During usage of the projector following safety instruction must be followed: 
 
8.1

 

Please read all the instructions of this manual before using the projector. Do not 
allow children to operate this projector without adult guidance. Do not touch the 
hot parts of this projector in order to avoid skin burn. 

8.2

 

Do not operate this projector when the power cord was damaged. Do not open 
or operate this projector after damage due to drop down. Please contact your 
local dealer for examination and repair. If an extension cord is needed, please 
use an appropriate one. If the wires are too thin, it could easily be overheated 
and damaged. 

8.3

 

Make sure that the power cord has no mechanical contact to hot parts, neither 
to hot parts from the projector nor to external hot parts, e.g. oven or heater. 
Damaged power cords must be replaced by authorized service providers. 

8.4

 

Unplug this projector when it is not in use. Just gently pull the plug, not the cord 
when disconnecting this unit from the mains socket. Before storage the 
projector must be cooled down completely. 

8.5

 

Place this projector on a stable and horizontal surface. To avoid electric shocks 
and damages of the projector, please do not operate this projector when it is 
wet or on a wet surface. 

8.6

 

To avoid electric shock never try to disassemble this unit for repair by yourself. 
Always contact the local authorized service provider for repair. Before replacing 
the lamps please unplug the projector from mains and wait until it is cooled 
down completely (wait 30 minutes after switch-off). Never touch the projection 
lens or the projection mirror while the lamp is switched on. Never look into the 
light beam or light source directly. It can injure your eyes. 

8.7

 

Do not block the ventilation area in order to allow proper cooling. To avoid 
damages of the projection mirror and the projection lens always tilt up the 
mirror first before switching on the lamp. 

8.8

 

If this projector needs maintenance or switches off due to overheating or a 
burned fuse, please contact your local authorized service provider. To avoid any 
damages of the unit or poor performance please use the specified and 
manufacturer approved lamps only. 

8.9

 

Use the projector only for projection of transparencies or other 
documents/objects approved by manufacturer.
