This Use and Maintenance Manual refers to the

Generator Sets of the “G-THOR” range in the

versions: SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE manufactured

by LINZ ELECTRIC S.P.A., based in Arcole (Verona)

(hereinafter referred to as the Manufacturer), and

supplied to each single Gene- rator Set (hereinafter

also referred to as the machine). This Manual is an

integral part of the Generator Set and must always

accompany it in every move or resale. The User

is obliged to scrupulously and diligently follow the

instructions, warnings and all indications contained

in this Manual and in the other manuals that equip

the machine. If it is damaged or lost, a copy must be

requested immediately from the Manufacturer.

WARNING

Failure to comply with the provisions of this Manual,

operational negligence, in- correct use of the

Generator Set and the execution of unauthorized

changes, are grounds for the cancellation, by

the Manufacturer, of the warranty granted to the

machine. The Manufacturer also declines any and

all liability for direct and indirect damage due to

the above reasons and for failure to comply with

the provisions of this manual. All rights of this

publication are reserved to LINZ ELECTRIC S.P.A. Re-

productions or even partial disclosures that are not

duly authorized in writing are absolutely forbidden.

1.2 WARRANTY

The Manufacturer guarantees its new products from

the factory for a period of 24 (twelve) months.

-  The alternator and multiplier are guaranteed

under the conditions and terms established by the

relevant manufacturers.

-  The warranty terms start from the date of

purchase and cannot be extended. Within the

above- mentioned terms, LINZ ELECTRIC S.P.A.

undertakes to provide spare parts free of charge

for those parts that, at its sole discretion, or that

of an authorized representative, have manufactur-

ing defects or, at its discretion, to carry out the

repair directly or through authorized workshops.

-  The expenses due to routine and extraordinary

maintenance interventions on the Generator Sets

are in any case borne by the Buyer.

-  The replacements or repairs of the parts under

warranty will not in any case extend its terms.

-  The right to performance under warranty is

recognized only if, once the defect is found, it is

immediately communicated to the Manufacturer

by sending the relevant repair request at the same

time.

-  The Manufacturer gives the warranty at

its discretion, according to the technical

requirements, to the repair or replacement of the

defective parts.

-  Without prejudice to the Buyer’s right to guarantee

performance within the aforementioned terms, it is

expressly excluded that the Buyer may request the

termination of the contract, the replacement of the

Generator Set or the reduction of the sale price,

as well as compensation for any direct or indirect

damage.

-  In any case, transport costs, lubricants, VAT and

any customs duties remain the responsibility of the

Buyer.

-  The Buyer will be able to assert its rights on

the guarantee only if it has complied with any

additional conditions on the provision of the

warranty, also reported in the supply contract.

1.2.1 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The warranty is void (in addition to what is shown in

the supply contract):

-  When the Buyer has not complied with contractual

obligations.

-  When the Buyer has not reported the defects to

the Seller within eight days of their discovery, in

writing and giving a mandate for the execution of

the related intervention.

-  If the Generator Set or parts of it have been used

in a different way from the intended use.

-  If the Generator Set was previously entrusted
