Status output connections
The MobileView system provides two status outputs on the J1 serial/LED terminal block
(
) for optional use.

The purpose of these outputs is to provide a quick means of determining the operating status
of the MobileView DVR.
•
Fault LED: This output is normally inactive and is not commonly connected to an
external indicator.
•
Camera LED: This output is normally inactive and is connected to the red Status
LED on the panic button.
•
Software LED: This output is normally active and is connected to the green Status
LED on the panic button.
These open collector outputs are rated to sink 40 mA. The most common uses for these
outputs are as interfaces to a vehicle monitoring system or to the status LEDs on the
MobileView panic button.
Before connecting between the MobileView and a vehicle monitoring system, consult the
vehicle manufacturer to determine compatibility. To connect the status lights on the panic
