The oven has aspecial lower rack(R)
position just above theoven bottom.
Use it when extra cooking space is
needed, for example, when cooking
a large turkey. The rack is not
designed to slide out at this position.
The size, weight, thickness,
starting temperature and
your preference of doneness
will affect broiling times.
This guide is based on meats
at refrigerator temperature.
How to Set the Oven for Broiling
NOTE:
Close the door before start any
broiling function.
Use
LO Broil
to cook foods such as poultry
or thick cuts of meat thoroughly without
over browning them.
Place the meat or fish on a broiler grid
in a broiler pan designed for broiling.
Follow suggested rack positions
in the Broiling Guide.
