7. After the grouting procedure is completed for on–grade applications, install vinyl trim on cable
access pipe extending through floor and use white lithium grease to lubricate the vinyl trim.
This will protect the trim as cables are pulled through the pipe.
2.4.3 Base plate Placement – Through Bolt Installation
2.4.3.1 Gantry Base plate
1. After grout has hardened remove the foam.
2. Smooth off the air bubble shells and clean off the bottom of the base plate and bolt holes. Any
chips left on the base plate can cause the plate to set up in other than a level position.
Remember, the grout has very high compression strength. Chips will not penetrate the grout
or, for that matter, the bottom of the baseplate.
3. Position base plate (hardstop towards the table) over the through-bolt holes and, using loctite,
install through-bolts, washers, plates and nuts. Refer to PIST0002 - Prepare Floor - LC Base
Plate and Omega/InnovaIQ Table .
NOTE: Bolt heads must not protrude above top surface of base plate.
4. Insert and torque each of the base plate bolts to 20 ft-lbs (2.7 daN.m) to seat the plate and
keep it from moving. Continue to torque each bolt in 20 ft-lbs (2.7 daN.m) increments until 95
ft-lbs (12.8 daN.m) for 3/4” bolts is reached. Torque sequence is as follows:
1-7-4-10-2-8-5-11-3-9-6-12 (12-holes) (Refer to Illustration 1-2 ).
5. After you have torqued the bolts, go back every half-hour and check the torque (two times
should be adequate). A
creeping function of the bolt may have caused the torque to adjust.
Re-torque any bolts which adjusted.

Table Base plate
