The product provides you with the ability to access the answering system
from a tone dialing telephone in another location. The security code is
required for remote access, and it prevents unauthorized access to your
answering system. The default security code is 1 2 3, and you may only
change the security code at the base.
1. Make sure the phone is
OFF
(not in talk mode), and make sure the
phone is in the answerer setup mode.
2. Use the CID/messages (
or
) button on the base to scroll to
SECURITY CODE.
3. Press the OK soft key, and
SECURITY CODE 123 shows in the display.
4. Use the touch-tone pad on the base to enter your new 3-digit security code.
For example, press the 6, 2, and 8 number key for security code
628.
