Replacing the cooling assembly

Unplug the old cooling fan.

Lift the cooling assembly up and away from the convertible notebook.

Install the new cooling assembly in the convertible notebook.

Plug in the new cooling fan.

Replace the four screws that are stamped with the numbers 1 through 4 next to them. 
Make sure that you tighten the screws in numerical order.

Replace the other two screws that connect the cooling assembly to the system board.

12

Replace the memory bay cover, then tighten the cover screws.

Caution

When tightening the cooling assembly’s screws into the numbered 
holes, tighten them 

in numerical order
