Replacing Gateway Convertible Notebook Components

Remove the four screws that are stamped with the numbers 1 through 4 next to them.
Make sure that you remove the screws in reverse numerical order.

5

Remove the two remaining screws that connect the cooling assembly to the system
board.

Caution

When removing the cooling assembly’s screws from the numbered
holes, remove them

in reverse numerical order

.

Caution

There are thermal pads beneath the cooling assembly. Do not remove
the thermal pads.
