Windows Basics
Opening a document
To view, revise, or print an existing document, you need to open it. Open
the document in the program it was created in.
To open a document in Microsoft Word:

Click
Start
, then select
Programs
, then
Microsoft Word
. Microsoft Word
starts and a blank document opens.

File
, then
Open
.

In the
Look in
list, find the folder you want to open.

Double-click the document file name. The document opens.
