CARE AND CLEANING
WARNING
–
Close supervision is required, if the appliance or any part
of it is in reach of young children!
The appliance is very hot during operation and
even some time after switching off. Turn the control dials counter-clockwise to the
“0” position, then switch off at the power switch (position “O”) and unplug the
appliance from the power outlet. Let the appliance cool down completely (at least
45 minutes), before removing any parts of the appliance, and before moving or
cleaning the appliance.
Do not attempt to move or disassemble the appliance,
while fat and juices in the drip tray and on the grilling plate are still hot!
Do not immerse the housing, grilling plate, or power cord into any liquids. Do not
drip or spill any liquids on the housing or power cord.
Especially keep the electrical
connectors of the grilling plate and the housing completely dry. Do not place the
housing, grilling plate, or power cord in an automatic dishwasher.
Only the drip
tray may be cleaned in an automatic dishwasher.
Do not use any abrasive or corrosive cleaners (e.g. grill/oven cleaner), cleaning
pads, chemicals, or any hard or sharp-edged objects for cleaning the appliance or
any part of it, because this could affect or damage the surfaces, especially the non-
stick coating of the grilling plate. Do not use violence!
Always hold the appliance level, when moving the complete appliance after use.
Do not place the appliance or any parts of it on surfaces that are sensitive to fat or
moisture, even when the appliance is cold.
Always clean the appliance after each use to prevent residues of food from drying
on the surfaces and, during the next use, carbonize, burn in, or even catch fire.
IMPORTANT -
Dispose of fat and juices as compost or in a closed vessel in dome-
stic waste. Do not pour any fat or juices in the sink to avoid clogging the outlet
pipe.
1. Turn both control dials counter-clockwise to the “0” position and switch OFF the
appliance via the power switch (position “O”). Then unplug and leave the appli-
ance cool down to room temperature (at least 45 minutes).
2. Push the residues of juices and gravy from the grilling plate into the drain slits.
