Cut the unpeeled citrus fruit in half by cutting across the fruit segments,
rather than across the tip ends, to ensure more efficient juicing (Fig K & J).
important:
Some fruits, such as lemons and tangerines, have knobbly tip
ends which require trimming for better contact with the fruit dome.
warning:
Never touch the juicing cone or the filter with your fingers
while the appliance is switched on.

Make sure that the on/off button is off. The on/off button is a rocker
switch. Press the upper part of the switch to turn off the appliance. Then
plug the power cord into an power outlet.

Turn the appliance on. To do this press on the lower part of the on/off
button (Fig. M).

Put the fruit half with the flesh down onto the juicing cone and press the
fruit half a little (Fig. N) onto the juicing cone.

Hold the juicing press arm by the handle and lower it down so that the
fruit dome over the fruit half (Fig. O). Press the juicing press arm lightly and
without force down until the engine starts to work.
important:
Do not press down too hard on the juicing press arm. Other-
wise the motor will be loaded too heavily, and the most bitter white parts
of the fruit skin will be scraped off by the fruit dome. You will get the opti-
mal amount of juice when you work slowly.
The fruit dome scrapes the pulp from the peel. The pulp and seeds accumu-
late in the stainless steel filter and the juice is dripping from the juice spout.

Once the pulp is scraped off completely, lift the juicing press arm. After
the motor stops, remove the empty fruit hale of the fruit dome (Fig. P). The-
reafter you can process more fruit halves.
warning:
Turn off the appliance always before you remove the pulp
from the stainelss steel filter. Always unplug the power cord before remo-
ving parts or moving the appliance.
caution:
Do not scratch with hard objects on the stainless steel filter.
The stainless steel filter can be damaged.

Empty the stainless steel filter regularly when a lot of pulp has accumulated in it. Sometimes
it is enough to turn off the appliance and scoop out the pulp gently with a plastic (or wooden)
spoon from the filter.
If the pores of the stainless steel filter are clogged and juice is collected in the filter, remove the
removable parts and wash these parts briefly under running water. Always turn the appliance
off and disconnect the power cord before cleaning (see ›Care and cleaning‹). Rinse the parts
even after a short break from juicing.

Before you remove the vessel (glass or pitcher) under the juice spout, press the juice spout-
slightly upward until the the juice spout clicks. This will stop the juice drain from the juice
collector and no other juice can pour out, your workplace stays clean.
