Ensure that both grilling plates are mounted and engaged correctly on the
housing.
Switch the power switch at the rear to “O”. Turn the control dials to
“0” (see: ‘Operation / Preparations’).
3. Completely unwrap the power cord and insert the power plug into the power
outlet. Switch on the appliance via the power switch at the rear of the appliance
(position “I”; see: ‘Operation / Preparations’). Then, turn both control dials to
“6” und let the appliance operate for approx. 10 minutes.
4. Then, turn both control dials back to “0”. Switch the power switch to “O”
and unplug.
Ensure to leave the appliance cool down to room temperature
(approx. 45 minutes).
5. Clean the grilling plates via some dishwater (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’). Rub the
non-stick coating with some drops of heat-resistant cooking oil.
OPERATION
WARNING
– Always ensure that the appliance and all its parts and acces-
sories are
out of reach of children younger than 8 years and animals.
The appli-
ance is intended for cooking food, and the surfaces are very hot during operation
and some time thereafter. Even the exterior of the appliance may get hot. During
operation, only touch the appliance at the operating elements to avoid burns.
Special care is required, if using an extension cord (see: ‘Important Safeguards for
Electrical Appliances’). Before operation, always ensure that all parts are in proper
working order and completely clean and dry. and the oil tray inserted correctly.
WARNING
–
Risk of Fire and Burns: Do not attempt to operate the
appliance, before mounting BOTH grilling plates and the drip tray correctly!
Always keep inflammable objects or liquids away from the appliance (e.g.
table decoration, alcoholic drinks).
Keep in mind that food could catch fire due
to overheating.
Place the appliance on a stable, level surface that is resistant against heat, fat, and
moisture (see: ‘General Safety Instructions’). Do not place any clothes or tissue or
other foreign objects on or under the appliance during operation, to avoid risk of
fire, overheating, or electric shock. Do not block the ventilation slits at the bottom of
the housing. Do not place any objects under the feet of the housing. Otherwise, the
appliance could wobble or tip over and/or hot food or juices falling off or running
out could cause severe injuries and damage.
Do not use any food that is probably off. Do not place any frozen or extremely wet
