FIRST HEATING
WARNING
– During operation, the grilling plates reach very high tempe-
rature values, and even the exterior of the appliance gets hot. Place the appliance
on a heat-resistant surface with at least 50cm of free space to any other objects
and walls on each side of the appliance. Ensure that the power cord will not touch
hot surfaces. Before touching the grilling plates with your hands, always leave the
appliance completely cool down. Supervise the first heating.
IMPORTANT -
For preparing the non-stick coating, only use a heat-resistant coo-
king oil (suited for frying). Do not use salad oil, because this type of oil may burn
on the hot grilling plate.
NOTE
As with any other electrical grilling devices, a slightly burnt smell and some smoke
may escape during the very first heating. This is normal and harmless and diminis-
hes within a short time.
1. Place the appliance near a sufficient power outlet (see: ‘Important Safeguards
for Electrical Appliances’). Ensure good ventilation.
