time is counted down (see: ‘Keep Warm Function’). You can select the tempe-
rature unit (°C or °F) via the setting mode (see: ‘Special Settings’).
• The lowest line shows the currently selected program.
• When starting a program, the heating elements start heating. On the “BREW
TEMP” area, a rising bar is shown and the actual water temperature is given in
steps of 5°C. While a program is running, you can display the set values via
pressing the TEMP/TIME button. The set values flash on the display for approx.
5 seconds. Thereafter the display switches back to the actual values. This holds
for the auto start function and the keep warm function as well. As soon as the
set temperature is reached, an acoustic signal sounds and the appliance auto-
matically lowers the tea infuser into the water, while switching to the steeping
time that is shown on the “BREW TIME” area as a count-down.
• During steeping, the temperature within the kettle is kept constant. The automatic
steeping function can immerse and pull out the tea infuser several times for ensu-
ring an optimum extraction (see: ‘Automatic Extraction’). After steeping, another
acoustic signal sounds, and the cantilever moves the tea infuser up and out of the
water automatically. On the display, “BASKET” illuminates. Within 5 minutes,
you should remove the kettle from the power base, take out the filter system and
close the kettle with the lid.

you wish to use the keep warm function, you must remove the kettle shortly from the
power base and place it back. Otherwise, the keep warm function is cancelled
and the appliance switches off automatically (see: ‘Automatic Shut-Off’).
• With the keep warm function activated, the keep warm function starts immedi-
ately after steeping and the keep warm indicator illuminates (see: ‘Keep Warm
Function’).
• If you wish to keep your tea warm, simply place the kettle back onto the power
base. In this case, the keep warm function keeps running until the pre-set maxi-
mum keep warm time is reached or until the program is cancelled manually.
• On the “BREW TIME” area, the keep warm time is counted down beginning
with the maximum keep warm time (see: ‘Preferences’). After the maximum keep
warm time elapsed, the keep warm indicator gets dark again and the appliance
switches off completely.
• When removing the kettle from the power base, any heating process is can-
celled (see: ‘Operation / Cancelling Operation’), but the keep warm function
keeps running. When the program is finished (at the end of the keep warm time
or manually), the values of the recently selected tea program or user-defined pro-
