12. Record the sample weight and input this
information into the monitor in kg in the
‘TEST WEIGHT’ area on the Product
Calibration screen. Check that the ‘TEST
PULSES’ value is as per your setting. A small
increase in pulses is normal (eg. set at 600,
will run and record 602) because the
hydraulic motor will overrun slightly.
13. Update the pulses/kg by pushing the soft key
under the ‘UPDATE’ prompt.
14.
Push soft key under ‘BACK’ prompt to go
back one menu screen to the ‘RATES’
screen. If the main bins need to be calibrated
this is done by highlighting the BIN prompt at
the top left hand side of the screen and using
the up or down navigator keys to select the
appropriate bin.
NOTE: If a product has previously been
calibrated in the pasture planter bin but for a
different trip, a pulses/kg figure will be displayed.
It is recommended that the operator
re-calibrate
the Pasture Planter with the current product and
meterbox set up. This operation will ensure that
any change in the product’s bulk density, flow
rate or meterbox setup will be confirmed.
On completion of the calibration process, close
the Pasture Planters bottom door.
15. When finished calibrating, return to the main
screen by pushing the soft key under the
‘EXIT’ prompt.
16.
Ensure that all of the information displayed
on the main screen is correct. The pasture
planter will be displayed as the forth bin at
the bottom of the screen. To check the
application rate from this screen, touch the
soft key directly to the left of the product and
the preset rate will be displayed for 3
seconds. The rate will then return to zero
until the seeding operation begins. Bins to be
operated should display the READY prompt.
You can change the status of each bin by
holding the soft key directly to the left of the
product down for 3 seconds.
NOTE:
After
completing
the
calibration
procedure it is recommended to record the
various values on the record sheet provided
(page 21-22) for future reference.
