Downloading Connect IQ Features
Before you can download features from the Connect IQ
app, you must pair your Venu 2/2S device with your
smartphone (

Computer

Wi‑Fi Connected Features
Activity uploads to your Garmin Connect account:
Automatically sends your activity to your Garmin
Connect account as soon as you finish recording the
activity.
Audio content:
Allows you to sync audio content from
third‑party providers.
Software updates:
You can download and install the
latest software.
Workouts and training plans:
You can browse for and
select workouts and training plans on the Garmin
Connect site. The next time you sync your device, the
files are wirelessly sent to your device.
Connecting to a Wi‑Fi Network
You must connect your device to the Garmin Connect app
on your smartphone or to the Garmin Express application
on your computer before you can connect to a Wi‑Fi
network.
To sync your device with a third‑party music provider, you
must connect to Wi‑Fi. Connecting the device to a Wi‑Fi
network also helps to increase the transfer speed of larger files.

NOTICE
The copyright of music provided by third‑party music
services are owned by the record companies. The record
companies license the music tracks or albums
to third‑party music services with a time limit, and the
music license must be periodically updated and renewed.
If you often listen to downloaded music offline, you will
need to reconnect your watch to the internet every 7 days
(via Wi‑Fi or Garmin Connect) so that you can continue
to make use of third‑party offline music services.

Personal audio content
Music stored on your phone
On a Venu 2/2S device, you can download audio content
to your device from your computer or from a third‑ party
provider, so you can listen when your smartphone is not
nearby. To listen to audio content
stored on your device, you must connect headphones with
Bluetooth technology.
You can also control music playback on your paired
smartphone using your device.
Downloading Personal Audio Content

Install the Garmin Express application on your

device, and select

browse to the folder with your audio files. For
Apple

computers, the Garmin Express application uses

In the My Music or iTunes Library list, select an
audio file category, such as songs or playlists.

Select the checkboxes for the audio files, and

Send to Device

If necessary, in the Venu 2/2S list, select a
category, select the checkboxes, and select
Remove From Device
to remove audio files.
Connecting to a Third‑Party Provider
Before you can download music or other audio files to your
watch from a supported third‑party provider, you must
connect the provider to your device.
Some third‑party music provider options are already
installed on your device. For more options, you can
download the Connect IQ app.
