Alarm Functions
The second option available on the GPS 92’s main
menu page is the ‘Alarms’ submenu, which is used to
control airspace alarms, or set arrival and CDI alarms.
SUA Alarms
The GPS 92’s special-use airspace (SUA) features will
inform you if any special-use or controlled airspace is
near or in your flight path, according to the following
conditions:

If your projected course will take you inside an
SUA within the next 10 minutes, an
‘SUA ahead
< 10 min’
message will be displayed.

If you are within 2 nm of an SUA and your current
course will take you inside, an
‘SUA near &
ahead’
message will be displayed.

If you have entered an SUA, an
‘Inside SUA’
