Visibility
Visibility is the maximum horizontal distance that can be seen. Isobars on the Visibility feature show a
change in visibility. In the example below, visibility ranges from .5 miles to 3 miles.
Weather Features
The inset displays NEXRAD weather data in addi-
tion to visibility. This provides a clearer picture of
the true weather conditions in this area.
You can get a general idea of reduced visibil-
ity across a wide area when the map view is
signifi cantly zoomed out, as shown in the image
above.
