n.º 7) anti clockwise and start operating the cylinder backwards as described
in point 1. Once the clogged “remains are expelled”, readjust the blade (see
maintenance and cleaning, adjust the blade).
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Any other work that has not been mentioned in this instruction manual
should be carried out by an authorized technical service. Only use
original spare parts.
Use gloves when working with the blades.
Before you start to carry out any maintenance or cleaning, turn the
machine off, remove the plug and wait until the cylinder that carries the
blades stops.
General tasks of maintenance and cleaning
Do not wash the shredder under the water spurt.
• Keep the machine, the wheels and the ventilation slots always clean. To clean,
use a soft brush or a cloth, but do not use detergent or dissolvent.
• Verify before each use that the machine, especially the safety devices, do not
have any defects like pieces wrongly fixed, worn out or damaged. Make sure
that all nuts, screws and bolts are tightened properly.
• Check that the caps and the protective devices are in a good condition and
placed properly. Otherwise, replace them.
•Keep the machine in a dry place and out of the reach of children. Do not cover
the machine with a nylon sack, since mould could form.
Adjusting the blade
The blade is fitted when you purchase the machine, for this reason you should
only touch the blades when they are worn out. Your will notice that the blade is
worn out when the remains are not shredded and they form a continuous trickle.
1. Turn the direction of rotation switch to the
right in the forward position and turn the
machine on (see operation).
2. Turn slightly the regulation screw (page. 7
picture A, n.º 7 ) clockwise ( with a male
hexagonal spanner included in the box) until
you hear sharpening noises. The expulsion
channel releases small aluminium shavings.
