HEAVY-DUTY AIR FILTER
(Figure 6-1, 125-150HP and Figure 6-2, 200HP) furnished as standard
equipment on units is a heavy-duty dry type air filter. The air filter must receive proper maintenance if
maximum service is to be obtained from the unit. Establishing adequate and timely filter service is
MOST
IMPORTANT
. An improperly maintained air filter can cause a loss of compressor air delivery.
Filter Element
- Inspect every 50 to 150 operating hours depending on dust conditions.
NOTICE
To service, 125-150HP:
1.
Remove the four screws from air filter enclosure lid and pull out the filter element.
To service, 200HP unenclosed:
1. Unclip the three latches on the bottom of the air filter element cylinder and lift off the air filter element
cylinder and shroud. The shroud can be removed for easier handling of the filter assembly by removing
the wingnut on top of the shroud and lifting off.
2. Slide the filter element out the bottom of the air filter element cylinder. The molded handles can be used
to aid in removal of the element.
To service, 200HP enclosed:
1. Unclip the three latches on the bottom of the air filter element cylinder and lift off the air filter element
cylinder and top cone. Keep the air inlet hose attached to the top cone.
2. Unclip the three latches on the top of the air filter element cylinder and remove the air filter element
cylinder from the unit.
3. Slide the filter element out the bottom of the air filter element cylinder. The molded handles can be used
to aid in removal of the element.
Use only genuine Gardner Denver air filter elements on Gardner Denver
compressor units. Genuine parts are available through your authorized Gardner
Denver distributor.
