1. Generals
As beautiful as birds are, they can also be a nuisance. Especially if you
have fruit trees or if they decide to build the nest in or on the house. Ripe
cherries are a welcome desert and if the birds are nesting near the house
they will also perch there, leaving behind their excrements.
The Gardigo Solar Bird Repellent is like a solar scarecrow and keeps
certain areas free of birds. The device emits an ultrasonic sound in the
range between 23,000 and 50,000 Hz and make sure that the birds will
look for a quieter location. As the range is only 7 m it will not disturb
neighbouring gardens. The unit can also be targeted at certain areas, as
it does not automatically emit the sound in all directions.
The built-in motion sensor has an angle of 110° and a range of 7 m and
registers all animals entering the sensor field. The moment it detects
an animal it will trigger the ultrasonic sound which is constantly varying
between 23,000 and 50,000 Hz. Visiting birds will find the sound quite
disturbing and in the long run look for different area. At first the birds
will return, but in the end they will learn to avoid the the area. This might
take a few days.

4. Further important information
The unit emits ultrasonic sound which is inaudible to the human ear.
These generated sound waves become unpleasent for birds. In the
first step, birds perceives the sound unconsciously. Depending on the
individual sense of hearing and resiliance of every animal, the ermitted
soundwaves become unpleasent after 2 hours or two weeks. When the
ultrasonic soundwaves in this area continue, the birds will leave this
place and search for a mor pleasent and quiet surrounding.
5. How to install
1. Determine the location you want to place the unit.
2. Using a pencil, mark the center of where you would like the screw to
be placed and have a drill bit a little smaller than the closed end of the
plastic anchor ready.
3. Using the drill bit, drill a hole through the center of your mark and
about as deep as the anchor is long.
4. Using a hammer or rubber mallet, gently tap the anchor until it is
flush with the wall.
5. Insert the screw and slowly rotate it into the anchor leaving about 1/8
or 1/4 of the screw out to hang the Solar cat and dog repeller.
The Solar cat and dog repeller has three switch settings which are loca-
ted on the bottom of the unit housing.

ON1:
When the motion sensor is triggered, the unit will produce a
high pitched ultrasonic frequency in conjunction with a strobe
light to ward away unwanted animals for 20 seconds.

OFF:
Charging the unit by sunlight is working.

ON2:
When the motion sensor is triggered, the unit will produce a
high pitched ultrasonic frequency to ward away unwanted ani-
mals for 20 seconds.
6. Care and maintenance
· The product must be cleaned free from leaves and dirt if necessary.
Use a dry or a slightly moist cloth for cleaning.
· Never use chemicals or abrasives for cleaning.
· Remove the batteries and store in dry, protected rooms if the product
is not being used over a longer period of time.
· Take the parts carefully out of the packaging.
· Make sure, before using the animal chaser that this has not been da-
maged during transportation. Use is forbidden if there is damage.
· Keep the packaging material well away from children and household
pets. The packaging contains small parts which can be swallowed by
small children.
· Never make your own repairs to faulty parts.
· Do not expose the animal chaser to extreme heat or exposed flames.
· The entire product must not be changed or modified. Changes made
to the product lead to invalidation of the guarantee (warranty).
· Switch off the animal chaser if your pet is playing within the coverage
range.
· The device should be switched off to save the batteries if people are
working inside the coverage range.
