4.2 ON WORK
4.2.1 PRECAUTIONS BEFORE START-UP
WARNING
‘Section 2’ describes the general safety standards.
In addition to the information shown in this sec-tion,
it is essential that the operator reads and stores
what described below.
• The start-up of the machine must be on level
ground and with disc raised.
• During the handling of the machine (even for short
trips), it is mandatory to keep the toothed
disc lifted from the ground (at least 10 cm from-the
ground) so as to ensure the stability of the-machine.
• Use extreme caution during refueling opera-tions.
Avoid filling the tank with the engine run-ning. Avoid
smoking or open flames. Do not o-verfill the tank. If
this happens, wipe immedia-tely. If necessary, use
a funnel to avoid drips. Carefully tighten the cap of
the tank when the supply is completed.
• It is not recommended to use the machine in-
doors, but, if it was really necessary, before starting
the machine make sure there is adequa-te ventila-
tion.
Exhaust fumes can kill.
• Before starting, check all the tools, indicators and
warning lights. Check all safety devices ma-king
sure that everything is working properly.
• Adjust the speed according to the ground con-
ditions. Watch out for obstacles. Bypass any rocks
and stumps.
• Avoid crossing rails, excavations, crests or edges.
If the crossing cannot be avoided, slow down and
proceed with a certain angle than the obstacle. A-
void yielding docks, potholes and steep slopes.
• During operation, the machine can throw sto-nes
and/or blunt objects to a certain distance.
Remove any objects or pets that are within ran-ge
of the machine.
• Starting a new dig, move the excavation disc with
extreme caution. The speed of the tool must be re-
duced.
