d) Before start-up, fill the pump body and suction hose with clear water. Fill very slowly until the water
overflows; wait a few seconds for all the air to leave and then top up until the level remains
unchanged.
e) Make sure that the voltage matches that indicated on the rating plate and plug in the appliance. Start
the pump and wait for the water to start coming out. If nothing happens after 2-3 minutes, switch off
the plug and fill it again.

6. Troubleshooting
Before troubleshooting, disconnect the pump from the power supply (i.e. remove the
plug from the socket).
If the power cord or a pump components is damaged, all repairs or replacements must be
made by the manufacturer, its technical assistance service or an equivalently qualified
person, in order to prevent all risks.
Fault Reason
Remedy
The pump does
not run
1) No mains voltage.
2) Shaft blocked.
1) Make sure that voltage reaches the socket and
that the plug is correctly fitted.
2) Remove the plug from the socket, fit a
screwdriver into the notch on the shaft (from
the cooling fan side) and turn to release.
The pump runs
but does not
deliver water.
1) There is still some air remaining in
the pump body. No water in the
pump body.
2) Air enters from the suction hose.
1) Stop the pump, unscrew the delivery hose,
shake the pump and suction hose to help
eliminate the air bubbles; top up with water,
connect and tighten the suction hose and start
the pump again.
2) Make sure that suction hose and fittings are
firmly fixed.
Makes sure there are no counter-slopes,
siphons, goosenecks or smaller diameters in
the suction hose and that the foot valve on the
is not blocked.
Thermal
overload
protector
switches off the
pump.
1) The voltage does not correspond
to that shown on rating plate (too
high or too low).
2) A solid has blocked the impeller.
3) The water in the pump is too hot.
4) The pump ran dry for more than
10 minutes.
Unplug the pump, eliminate the reason for
overheating, wait for the pump to cool and then
switch back on.
