1.  Removethispageandfoldalongthedashedline.

 

2.  Locateaverticalobjectonorbehindtheslope(e.g.apole,building,fence,tree,etc.)

 

3.  Aligneithersideoftheslopegaugewiththeobject(SeeFigure1andFigure2).

 

4.  Adjustgaugeupordownuntiltheleftcornertouchestheslope(SeeFigure1andFigure2).

 

5.  Ifthereisagapbelowthegauge,theslopeistoosteepforsafeoperation (SeeFigure2above).
