5.2
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The electric connections must be set up by qualified staff. All connections must comply with the regulations enforced in the
country of installation. A suitable cutting-off device must be set up upstream of the electrical supply for the internal unit,
taking into consideration the electrical absorptions indicated in this manual and on the data plate. The user is also reminded
that the power supply to the external unit is supplied by the internal unit. The connection must be set up according to the
directions provided by the electrical diagram.
The protection to be installed up stream and therefore the size of the power supply cables depend on the electrical absorption
of the machine.
The following table indicates the maximum absorptions of the internal unit + external unit and are divided based on the type
of fan unit. Lastly, it is possible to find the minimum recommended protection:
For the correct sizing of the cable it is necessary to take into account (standard reference IEC EN60204-1):
1 The selected upstream protection.
2 Installation conditions.
3 Type of cable.
4 Maximum cable length.
The following table provides an example of sizing in the following hypothetical situations:
1 Maximum ambient temperature of 40°C.
2 Placement inside empty pipes.
3 PVC cable with a maximum operating temperature of 70°C.
4 Protection upstream, as per the previous table.
5 Multipolar cable.
The maximum length guarantees a lower voltage drop than required by regulation.
