User Manual

5.1  Pre-Procedure Testing

WARNING. Prior to beginning a treatment and before the patient is anesthetized, setup 

the Visual-ICE™ MRI System (reference Section 4) and then perform Needle Integrity and 

Functionality Tests on each MRI cryoablation needle.

2.  Using aseptic technique, carefully remove the MRI cryoablation needle from the package and 

place in a sterile work area.

3.  Remove the connector cap, and then connect the needle to the Needle Interface on the Mobile 

Connection Panel (Figure 2-6).

CAUTION. 

Do not kink, pinch, cut or pull excessively on the needle tubing. Damage to needle 

handle or tubing may cause the needle to become unusable.

4.  After a needle is inserted into the desired channel, lock the channel by sliding the locking bar 

away from the center of the system (Figure 5-1).
