5.2.1.1. TIG AC PROCESS– SELECT WAVE TYPE AC.
From OPERATION MODE MENU, we can select different types waves that will allow the total management of the welding
arc.
By negative cycle (-) we mean the emission phase of current from tungsten, where heat is
concentrated on the piece increasing the penetration and solder-hard speed.
Contrariwise, in the positive cycle (+),heat is concentrated on tungsteno and pickling of
piece is increased.
The independent setting of cycles allows us to define the arc according to our need. Being able to select balanced arcs
(same wave in both cycles) or unbalanced (different waves per cycle).

Engine block repair: pieza de gran espesor, thick piece, with a certain porosity
and debris of dirt.
Cycle sel: square. High pickling effect and cleaning.
Cycle - square selection. Increased penetration.
Replacement sheet metal bodywork: part of low thickness.
Cycle sel: sinusoidal. Keeps hot tungsten for low intensity work.
Cycle selection -: triangular. Minor deformation and more focused arc.
Within the TIG AC process we will have full control of fundamental wave parameters.
In factory the equipment is configured with a balance and penetration adjustment that we consider opti-
mal, but the user can correct this regulation according to his needs and criteria.
BALANCE CONTROL.
Specifies the percentage of negative cycle within each wave AC.
The negative correction reduces the time in negative cycle, increased the
percentage of cleaning and pickling and increasing the warming of the
tungsten.
The positive correction increases the cycle of negative to increase the pen-
etration and the scroll speed.
PENETRATION CONTROL.
Defines the increase of intensity in the negative cycle, thus managing the
arc depth.
Correction to negative reduces intensity and penetration.
Correction to positive increases intensity and penetration.
