VOLTAGE CHANGE
All the equipment from the GALA INDUSTRIAL
series have two voltages (standard version at
230/400 V). Therefore it is necessary to check that
the voltage selected on the equipment coincides
with the mains voltage.
Fig. 3. Voltage change system.
Standard equipment leaves the factory with the
voltage selected at 400 V. To change to 230
voltage place screw T in position 2. To connect the
equipment move indicator to 230 V position.
DO NOT FORGET TO FIT THE EARTH
CONNECTION INTO THE PLUG.
MAKE SURE THE MAINS VOLTAGE
COINCIDES WITH
THAT ESTABLISHED IN THE MACHINE.
2.2. INSTALLATION OF AUTO-COOLED MODULATE MIG SYSTEM (WITHOUT COOLING).
The wire-feed unit must be connected to the power source. Fig. 4 describes the installation process of
GALA INDUSTRIAL equipment without cooling.
The connection is made with the connection extension A (see table 4). The installation is comprised of the
following elements:
B-
CONTROL hose.
C-
Shielding GAS line.
D-
POSITIVE supply pole.
E-
Shielding gas hose.
F-
Pressure reducing valve.
G- Welding
torch.
H- Earth
taps.
M-
Welding earth clamp.
N-
Power supply hose
O-
Connection plug.
The gas bottle is joined to the system with conduit
E, which is connected to the rear of the power source.
The gas flow can be controlled with the pressure
reducing valve F to a recommended value between
10 and 12 l/min. (wide range depending on wire)
The power source earth taps are designated with
letter H. We must place earth J to a tap, which will be
chosen depending on the thickness to be welded (see
section 3.1).
