Switch off the power supply before carry-
ing out any work.

Never use this appliance in boats or in

Follow the worktop manufacturer's recom-
mendations.
Safe installation
Follow these safety instructions when installing the
socket.
Only persons with relevant electrotechnical know-
ledge and experience may install the socket.
By installing the appliance incorrectly, you endanger:
¡
Your own life;
¡
the life of the user of the electrical system.
By installing incorrectly, you risk serious material
damage, e.g. caused by a fire.
You may be personally liable for any personal injury
and/or material damage.
Contact an electrician.
In particular, the following expertise is necessary for
the installation:
¡
The "5 safety rules" that must be applied: Enable;
secure against being switched on again; determ-
ine whether it is voltage-free; earth and short-cir-
cuit; cover or restrict adjacent live components;
¡
Select the suitable tool, measuring devices and, if
necessary, the personal protective equipment;
¡
evaluate the measurement results;
¡
select the electrical installation material to ensure
the shutdown conditions;
¡
IP protection types;
¡
installation of the electrical installation material;
¡
the type of supply network, e.g. TN system, IT sys-
tem, TT system and the resulting connection con-
ditions, e.g. classic usage, protective earthing, re-
quired additional measures.
Switch off the power supply before carrying out any
work.
Only a qualified electrician may install this socket,
taking the appropriate regulations into account.
Ensure that the socket is properly earthed.

Making the cut-out for the socket
1.
Ensure that the socket is accessible at all times
once fitted.
2.
Note the clearances between the socket and the
control knobs.

3.
Observe the minimum clearances.
→
4.
Make a hole with a diameter of 50 mm.
5.
If the panel thickness is less than or equal to
23 mm, align the retaining plate on the rear of the
furniture panel.
→
6.
If the panel is thicker than 23 mm, cut out the rear
side of the furniture panel for the retaining plate.
→
7.
After making the cut-outs, remove any shavings.
8.
Seal the cut surfaces so that they are heat-resist-
ant and waterproof.
Establishing the wiring
Requirement:
Maximum permitted power: 16 A/
230 V, 3x1.5 mm

1.
Loosen the screws on the rear of the socket.

2.
Strip the cable.
3.
Protect the stripped ends with wire-end ferrules.

4.
Guide the cable through the rear of the socket.
→
5.
Secure the earthing strands.
→
6.
Secure the two other wires with the strands on the
outside of the socket.
→
7.
Tighten all of the screws on the rear of the socket.

Installing the socket
1.
Remove the protective film from the rear of the
socket.
→
2.
Hold the retaining plate in place against the rear
of the control panel.
‒
Ensure that the retaining lug on the retaining
plate is located on the upper side.
3.
Insert the cable and the socket through the fitted
unit and the retaining plate.
→
4.
Align the retaining plate and use 2 screws to pre-
vent it from rotating.
‒
In the case of stone worktops, stick the retain-
ing plate using heat-resistant, two-component
adhesive.
5.
Guide the cable through the assembly tool.
6.
On the rear of the socket, tighten the retaining nut
using the installation tool provided.

Cleaning the socket
Note:
Aggressive cleaners, lemon and vinegar are
not suitable for cleaning and may damage the
socket.

Clean the socket with a soft, dry cloth only.
