Troubleshooting Guide 1

Engine Will Not Start

Checklist - After You Stop Cranking

With Power

applied to

IGC,

Is Fault LED

on?

Indicates the Overspeed limit was exceeded during
starting.  Recheck Flywheel Teeth, Overspeed, and
Speed settings.  Cycling the power on the IGC will
remove the Overspeed Fault Condition.  Try
Restarting.

Is RUN/SETUP

LED Blinking

IGC is in SETUP Mode.  Press and hold the RUN
Button to exit Setup mode.  The Fault LED should
turn off.  If it doesn’t, that means the Overspeed limit
was exceeded during starting.  Recheck Flywheel
Teeth, Overspeed, and Speed settings.  Cycling the
power on the IGC will remove the Overspeed Fault
Condition.  Try Restarting.

Is RUN/SETUP LED

Blinking

Is the battery (+) connected to Terminals A & C? Is
Battery (-) connected to Terminal B?  Verify polarity.

Are any LED’s on

Measure Voltage across
Terminals A(+) and B(-) to
verify  sufficient Voltage (12V
or 24V).  Cycle Power.  If still
no LED’s turn on, then
controller needs to be
replaced.

Connect

Battery

Is RUN/ SETUP

LED steady On
