General mounting advice
The electronic components should be installed with utmost care since chafed or defective
cables, damaged contacts etc. may seriously affect the safety of the system and cause its
failure. Ensure that all components are in faultless state before mounting them.
In case of any problems or questions please contact the distributor or manufacturer.
4 Technical and operational safety
Potential hazards when dealing with the window drive
The opening or closing action is stopped by the drive's integrated or external overload cut-off
device. (Please refer to the chapter 'Technical Data' for the drive-related thrust).
In case of carelessness, however, the following hazards may occur:
Risk of limbs being crushed!
Never put your fingers between movable and fixed window or drive elements.
Up to a height of 2.5 m, motor-driven installations involve the risk of limbs getting
trapped and crushed and therefore must be safeguarded accordingly (except for
installations in industrial areas accessed by trained personnel only). Safeguarding
means that the drive must stop moving as soon as someone touches the installa-
tion or reaches into the hazardous zone.
"
Always switch off the installation when working near the windows, e.g. at window clean-
ing, renovation etc.
Hazards caused by electricity
Never connect the drive to a 230 V supply!
This is dangerous to life.
Under no circumstances must the case of the drive be opened!
Always ensure that the window sashes have enough moving space so the
drive can function properly.
5 Standards and regulations
In addition to these operating instructions, the legal regulations concerning safety, occupational
health, accident prevention, and environment protection of
the particular country
where the
window system is operated must be observed.
