6 Assembly
The following points must be observed during installation:
These assembly instructions are intended for trained experts, therefore basic
work techniques are not considered.
Installation, maintenance and repair works must be carried out in compliance
with all prevailing regulations and directives.
All dimensions of the particular installation are the responsibility of the installer;
adjustments may be necessary.
Guarantee claims can only be made if assembly has been carried out in
compliance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Technical and operational safety
Potential hazards when dealing with the window drive
The opening or closing action is stopped by the drive's integrated or external overload cut-off
device. Please refer to the chapter 'Technical Data' for the drive-related thrust. Nevertheless,
please note:
Risk of crushing and entrapment!
Never put your
fi
ngers between movable and
fi
xed window or drive
elements.
Up to a height of 2.5 m, motor-driven installations involve the risk of limbs getting trapped and
crushed and therefore must be safeguarded accordingly (except for installations in industrial
areas accessed by trained personnel only). Safeguarding means that the drive must stop
moving as soon as someone touches the installation or reaches into the hazardous zone.
Switch off the installation when working near the windows, e.g. at window cleaning,
renovation etc.
Hazards caused by electricity
Never connect to 230 V! There would be mortal danger.
Never open the drive cladding unless you have completed training for
electrical work on the drive!
To ensure that the installation is always functioning correctly, it is important to
leave suf
fi
cient moving space around the window sash.
