7 ALARM FUNCTION
7.1 Introduction:
KEEP IN MIND THAT THE ALARM FUNCTION ONLY FUNCTIONS
WHEN THE POWER ADAPTOR IS CONNECTED AND/OR FULL BAT-
TERIES ARE INSTALLED!
In case of an emergency situation, you can bring
the phone in the emergency state by means of the
red SOS-key on the remote control
or
through the
key on the phone.
To prevent false alarm, you need to keep the
emergency key pressed for more than 1 second.
You can choose between sounding a local alarm
for 30 seconds first, so that people in the vicinity
can offer help before the programmed emergency
numbers are called, and a silent alarm, at with
the programmed emergency numbers are dialed, but no sound comes
from your phone at all, until the called care worker enters a code on their
phone.
An alarm can always be interrupted by picking up the handset shortly and
putting it down again.
