3.3.4 Autofocus control panel on the right side of the video window
3.3.5 Focus area in the video window
Autofocus
When the autofocus button is activated, the system automatically starts
the autofocus according to the status of the object until it is in focus;
Manual focus
When the manual focus function is activated, the position of the camera
sensor should be reset by scrolling up or down with the mouse until the
object is in focus;
One push AF
A one-time autofocus process can be performed by clicking the One
Push button;
Conjugated Corre-
ction
The camera sensor can be reset to the C-mount default position by
clicking the Conjugated Correction button. The Conjugated Correction
function allows the sensor position to be calibrated while both the ca-
mera video window and the image seen in the eyepiece are in focus. The
use of the
Conjugated Correction function is recommended when the
camera is used for the first time. This will ensure that the camera sensor
is in the
C-mount default position. This guarantees that the object level,
eyepiece image level and camera adapter image level are in the default
position;
Note: 1) If the height of the object changes, it is important to ensure
that the sensor is in the C-mount default position and the focus is set
correctly via the coarse and fine adjustment knob of the microscope; 2)
The
Conjugated Correction should be performed prior to the measure-
ment to guarantee the accuracy of the measurement results (for more
information, see Measurement toolbar>
Conjugated Correction... ).
The focus area is used to select the area to be examined for the autofocus process. Clicking the button
AF in the camera control toolbar opens the focus area together with the autofocus control panel . Click-
ing anywhere in the video window resets the focus area for the autofocus process. When the autofocus
panel is closed, the focus area automatically closes.
Note: If the autofocus function is active, the measurement toolbar will not open when the mouse poin-
ter is moved to the upper video area.
