3.3.1 The camera control panel on the left side of the video window
The camera is controlled via the camera control panel to achieve the best image quality for each
specific application. The control panel opens automatically when the mouse pointer is moved to the
left side of the video window (the
camera control panel does not open in measurement mode). The
camera control panel only opens when the measurement process is finished, when the mouse pointer
is moved to the left side of the video window). Clicking the button activates the Show / Auto Hide
button on the
camera control panel ;
Camera control panel Function Description of functions
Snapshot Record an image or take a snapshot in the currently open video window.
Video recording Record a video in the currently open video window.
Auto Exposure
When automatic exposure is enabled, the system automatically adjusts
the exposure time according to the exposure compensation value.
Exposure compen-
sation
Available when the automatic exposure is enabled. Move left or right to
adjust the exposure compensation according to the current video bright-
ness and obtain the appropriate brightness value.
Exposure time
Available when the automatic exposure is disabled. Move left or right to
increase or decrease the exposure time to adjust the brightness of the
video.
Gain
Adjust the gain to increase or decrease the video brightness. The noise is
reduced or amplified accordingly.
Red
Move left or right to increase or decrease the red component in the
video window.
Green Green is a reference base and cannot be changed.
Blue
Move left or right to increase or decrease the blue component in the
video.
White balance Automatic white balance according to the video window.
Sharpness Adjust the image sharpness of the video window.
Noise reduction Adjust the noise reduction level of the video window
Saturation Adjust the saturation level of the video window.
Gamma
Correction of the gamma level of the video. Move right to increase and
left to decrease the gamma level.
Contrast
Correction of the contrast value of the video. Move right to increase and
left to decrease the contrast.
DC
For DC lighting, there is no fluctuation in the light source, so there is no
need to eliminate flicker.
AC (50 HZ)
Check AC (50 Hz) to eliminate the “flickering” that occurs when lighting
at 50 Hz.
AC (60 HZ)
Check AC (60 Hz) to eliminate the “flickering” that occurs when lighting
at 60 Hz.
Default settings All settings in the camera control panel are set to the default values.
