3. Quick start guide for the camera
Before switching on the camera, please connect the standard C-mount camera to the camera adapter
and connect this to the third microscope tube, which transfers the median image of the microscope
object to the camera sensor.
3.1 WLAN mode
1.
Plug the
12V/1A
power cable into the
power supply interface
to connect the camera to the
power supply. The
LED display
then lights up red;
2.
Press the ON/OFF button
to switch on the camera. The
LED display
then lights up blue;
3.
Insert the WLAN antenna included in the scope of delivery into the
WLAN ANTENNA/USB PORT
to generate the
WLAN
signal;
4.
As soon as the indicator on the
WLAN
antenna begins to flash, connect the computer (or an iPad
or smartphone) to the
WLAN
signal, the name of which begins with
BHDC-AFC202M
.
The
password
is 12345678;
5.
Open the software and start by clicking the name of the camera model in the camera list.
3.2 HDMI mode
1.
Connect the HDMI cable to the
HDMI port
to connect the camera to the HDMI display;
2.
Connect a USB mouse to the
USB port
to control the camera with the integrated
XCamView
software;
3.
Plug the
12 V/1 A
power unit into the
power supply interface
to connect the camera to the
power supply. The
LED display
then lights up red;
4.
Insert the SD card into the
SD card slot
to save captured images and recorded videos;
5.
Press the
ON/OFF
button
to switch on the camera. The
LED display
then lights up blue;
6.
Move the mouse pointer to the left side of the video window. The
camera control panel
is then
displayed. The control panel provides the functions
manual / automatic exposure, white balance,
sharpness, noise reduction
, etc. For details, see 3.3.1

When you move the mouse pointer to the top of the video window, a
measurement toolbar
with calibration and other measurement tools is displayed. For further information, see 3.3.3.
The measurement data can be exported as a
*.CSV
file.
8.
When you move the mouse pointer to the bottom edge of the video window, a
camera control
toolbar
is displayed. This enables operations such as
zooming in, zooming out, flipping, still ima-
ges, crosshairs, WDR
etc. to be performed. For more information, see 3.3.2
9.
When you move the mouse pointer to the bottom edge of the video window, the
camera con-
trol toolbar
opens automatically. When you click the button
AF
, the
autofocus control panel
appears, which allows you to perform autofocus operations; 3.3.4 and 3.3.5
