Operation
For First Time Use:
Step 1:
Push the switch to the ON position (Figure 1).
Allow the unit to fully charge in direct sunlight for up to 2
days in the ON position. Once fully charged, your solar light
will automatically turn on once it gets dark..
Assembly and Installation
Step 1:
Insert the slot of the larger ground stake into the
slot of the smaller ground stake until secure (Figure 2).
Step 2:
Insert the ground stake assembly into the
recessed area of the base in 4 locations until secure (Figure
2).
Step 3:
Insert the assembly with the ground stakes facing
downward into the ground (Figure 3). Do not hammer the
assembly into the ground. If the ground is hard, use water
to soften the ground and an object such as a screwdriver to
create a small hole.
Battery Replacement
Step 1:
Push the switch to the OFF position (Figure 1).
Step 2:
Remove the screws from the top of the deck light
(Figure 4).
Step 3:
Carefully remove the top cover, being sure not to
detach any of the connected wires.
Step 4:
Carefully remove the old battery from the battery
compartment (Figure 5).
Step 5:
Replace battery with an equivalent new solar
rechargeable battery, ensuring the correct polarity is
observed.
Step 6:
Reassemble the unit by reversing the above
procedure.
Step 7:
Push the switch to the ON position (Figure 1).
Allow the unit to fully charge in direct sunlight for up to 2
days in the ON position. Once fully charged, your solar light
will automatically turn on once it gets dark.
CAUTION:
Rechargeable batteries contain nickel-metal
hydride and must be recycled or disposed of properly. Do
not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of
batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.
