Optional Equipment

8.8.1

Bluetooth Adapter Unit BU-1

The BU-1 installs inside the transceiver and enables bluetooth compatible devices 
such as a bluetooth headset.

Before starting the installation, turn the transceiver off and disconnect all cables from 
the transceiver. Touch a metal place to discharge any static electricity from your body.

1.

Unfasten six screws to remove the cover.

2.

Unplug the connector connected between the cover and the circuit board in the 
transceiver. Remove the paper tape from the location shown in the figure below.

3.

Mate the connector on the Bluetooth Adapter circuit board with the connector 
shown in the illustration above.

4.

Check that the gasket at the rear of the transceiver is properly seated.

5.

Set the cover to the transceiver and connect the connector to the circuit board in 
the transceiver.

6.

Close the cover.

Unplug connector.

Remove paper tape.
