Software Upgrade

This section describes the software upgrade procedure.
When the software is upgraded, various settings will be initialized. For backing up the patient/setup
data in the CF card, refer to “Chapter 3 Using the CF card” of “DS-8200 Maintenance Manual.”

Software upgrading is performed using the CF Card for Data Transfer. Copy the following

software file to the CF Card.

BaseInst.mot BASEPROG.mot ds82csum.txt
ds82inst.bin

ds82prog.bin

ds82prog.map

Powprog.mot

SUB_00.bin SUB_DS82.bin

Insert the CF Card into the CF Card Slot.

Open the CF Card Slot cover on the side of the

display unit, and insert the CF Card into the CF
Card Slot.

Turn ON the main power, the software will be installed.

When the main power is turned ON, the
installation of the software in the CF Card will
automatically start.
Wait until each progress bar indicator reaches the
maximum in CHECK, ERASE, WRITE, and
VERIFY phases.

*The following can be considered if the
installation is not performed:

・

The installation files are not in the CF Card.

→

Check if the installation files are included.

・

The CF Card is not formatted.

→

Use a CF card that has been formatted on
the DS-8200 or DS-8500.

・

Boot block was deleted.

→

Contact Fukuda Denshi.

Remove the CF Card and restart.

When the Home Display is displayed, the software upgrade is complete.
Then remove the CF card from the monitor and restart the monitor.
