Installing the hard disks extension box

Accessible drives

If you want to install a slimline DVD:

The DVD SATA cable (T26139-Y3928-V205) is already pre-mounted and 
connected to the SATA5 port of the system board.

Ê

Disconnect the DVD SATA cable from the system board port SATA5 in order 
to move the cable. 

Ê

Pull the DVD SATA cable out of the upper bay of the 3.5-inch HDD extension 
box towards the front.

Ê

Pull the power cable (P19 plug) cable out of the upper bay of the 3.5-inch 
HDD extension box towards the front.

Ê

Connect the power cable to the slimline DVD.

Ê

Connect the DVD SATA cable to the slimline DVD.

Ê

Slide the slimline DVD into the 3.5-inch HDD extension box from the front 
until it engages. Make sure that the cables do not become trapped.

Ê

Reconnect the DVD SATA cable plug to the system board port SATA5.
