The FFx-RAID Controller Module

Plug-in Board Modules

Conditioning the Battery

Prior to beginning normal operation, it is recommended that you condition the 
battery for maximum longevity.

I

During the conditioning, the FFx-RAID controller will be in write-through 
cache mode. This may slow normal operations. Therefore, schedule this 
operation accordingly.

To ensure that the battery is fully charged and properly conditioned:

Ê

From SAM software, select 

Administration/Intelligent BBU

.

Ê

Make sure the % 

Charge Level

 is 100. If the battery is currently charging, do 

not continue until the Charge Level is 100%.

Ê

Select 

Recondition Battery 

and 

Apply.
