Introduction
The scalable PRIMERGY RX4770 M4 server is an Intel-based rack server for
critical company scenarios, e.g. as database management system for medium
or large-sized databases or as a consolidation basis to run an immensely large
number of different applications using virtualization technologies.
Thanks to the high performance of the new Intel
®
Xeon
®
P-family CPUs with up
to 28 cores, optionally with embedded FPGA-functionality and the latest DDR4
memory technology. Moreover, the RX4770 M4 delivers a great expandability,
by supporting up to 6,144 GB of main memory and is future-proof with M.2
device support and the latest iRMC S5 for server management of the next
generation. Up to 16 hard disk drives (HDDs) and optionally up to 12 high-speed
PCIe Solid State Drives (SSDs) offer a flexible storage configuration option.
OCP 2.0 technology is onboard to ensure future requirements are met and
budgets are saved.
The limited space of a 2U chassis offers highly efficient power supply units.
Their redundancy on usage demand and the optional Advanced Thermal
Design, will result in lower operational costs.
