5 Before Using the Hard Disk Drive

Before using this product, perform the required setting changes by referencing the in-
cluded related hardware and software manuals.
●
To remove or install the product, carry out the procedures described in the user's guide
included with the mainframe of the server.
Carry out the same procedures as described in the guide, though the defferent product
names are described in it because of the time when purchasing the mainframe.
●
This product temporarily make a noise right after power-on, but there is no problem with
its auality.
●
Do not enable the write cache in the hard disk drives even if some operating systems
provide functions to enable.
Data in the write cache may be lost in such a case of unexpected power failure.
