Device setup - The "Update" tab
The
Update
tab allows the user to select from multiple ways to update the device
fi
rmware from a vSpace host on the network.
The
fi
rst option downloads and installs the latest
fi
rmware each time the device connects to the host.
The next option allows the user to manually initiate an immediate update directly from the GUI.
The last set of options de
fi
nes the update method: from the local subnet, by searching a
pre-de
fi
ned FTP directory or by updating from a speci
fi
c
fi
le on an FTP server.
The needed credentials for the FTP methods are then entered below. When specifying a particular
fi
rmware
fi
le, the whole path to the
fi
le on the FTP server (including the
fi
lename) must be speci
fi
ed.
The
fi
rmware update process can also be initiated from the NC Console.
